As the local Ministers Council, we are a diverse community of ministers working in association or collaboration with the American Baptist Churches of Metro Chicago. We are women and men in various forms of ministry who covenant with one other to deepen our spiritual journey, to increase our professional effectiveness, and to inspire ministerial excellence for the glory of Jesus Christ.

We are an autonomous, professional, multicultural organization of ordained, commissioned, and lay Christian leaders. Our members come from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds and include parish ministers, chaplains, pastoral counselors, life coaches, seminarians, and lay professionals.

Our primary goal is to foster community and to support one another in our ministry. We do this through fellowship events, small groups, resource sharing, and professional training opportunities.
